Northside’s Student Ministry
“Sharing God’s Love and Making Young Disciples Who Follow Jesus Christ” is the passion of Northside Students. We exist fully to accomplish this mission. We strive to hit this mark through Missions, Bible Study, Small Group Discussions, Recreation, Worship, Prayer, Music, Drama, Relationships, Media, Family Experiences, Scouting, Confirmation, Discipleship, Student Evangelism and many more opportunities.
We work with Students 6th through 12th Grade along with their families and friends. Below you will find our main gathering times here on campus (in the gym at Northside Church, 2571 North Highland Ave., Jackson, TN 38305) and ways to contact us for more information as well as our monthly calendar.
Sunday Night Live “SNL”
Teenagers are changing and living at such a fast pace that it seems as if life passes right by us. Jesus encourages us to work, learn, celebrate, and function in groups, churches, teams, bands, classes, families, and other forms of “together” as we go about our lives here on Earth. That is what Sunday Nights are all about! Coming together from all of our different zones to eat, play, worship, support, and lean on one another as we work through these Teen Years together. We meet from 5:30-7:45 pm most every Sunday of the month in the gym. We invite you to drop by and spend some time with us in this adventure.
Sunday School on Sunday Mornings
We do still provide a traditional Sunday School time at 10:00 am on Sunday Mornings. We meet after the 9 am Service and prior to the 11:00 am Service which are probably our two most popular services for families with teenage kids. Classes are in the gym with the boys upstairs and the girls downstairs.
Wednesday Night Small Groups “Mid-Week Check-In”
Small Groups begin in the gym in the large Youth Room upstairs at 6:45 pm with announcements, songs, jokes, and gathering to prepare us all for our Small Group experience of the evening. We have a small group for everyone led by trained volunteers who give of their time, energy, talents, and hearts for our students. We dig a little deeper into a passage and life application during this time but we don’t walk past the opportunity to deal with something that is strong upon our hearts on any particular week. We encourage you to come and be a part of these little Sabbath moments in the middle of the week.
