Intersection: Northside’s Children’s Ministry
where faith, family & fun meet
The Intersection ministers primarily to children between the ages of 3 years-old and 5th grade. Our goal is that, by providing opportunities for spiritual education and Christian fellowship, our kids will live out our mission statement of “Growing in God’s Love, Learning His Truth, and Sharing His Love with Others.” Music, drama, Sunday School, Wednesday Night Bible Studies, themed events, family events, and special retreats are just some of the ways in which we grow in our relationship with Christ, have fun, and get to know all of the kids and families of Northside Church.
Our Mission is the following:
TO GROW: To create a healthy, spiritual atmosphere that allows each child to grow in their relationship with Jesus and with each other.
TO LEARN: To train each child in the knowledge of the Word, help them discover their own uniqueness, and equip them and their parents to live faithfully in an ever-changing world.
TO SHARE: To prepare each child to share the love of Christ with their family, friends, neighbors, community, and the world through their attitudes, actions, and words.

Sunday Morning Opportunities
Children’s Church, Puppets, Music and more
Worship
Worship Services are held on Sundays at 8:15 AM, 9:00 AM and 11:00 AM. Children’s Church is available during the 8:15 am and 11:00 am services. In Children’s Church, our kids have an age-appropriate worship experience that includes Bible lessons, puppets, music, and more. Kids Express occurs during the Contemporary Worship Service at 9:00 am. It is for children who attend the 9:00 service and for children who attend the 8:15 service and are waiting for Sunday School to begin at 10:00.
Acolytes
Each week our acolytes light our alter candles, symbolically bringing the light of Christ into our worship space. 3rd – 5th graders are invited to serve as acolytes during our 8:15 and 11:00 worship services.

Sunday School is for three year-olds through 5th graders and is offered at 10:00 AM:
3 and 4 year olds: 205

Wednesday Night Opportunities
Music, Praise Service, and Bible Study.
Music
Three year-olds through 5th graders have regular music opportunities each week, including choirs, handbells, and musicals. Each Christmas, the kids participate in a unique musical about the message of Christmas. Music meets on Wednesday Nights from 5:15 – 5:45 in the Summit.
Praise Service
Mid-week worship is offered, for all ages, from 6:00 -6:45 PM in Hope Hall.
Bible Study
Wednesday Night Bible Study is offered on Wednesday evenings from 6:45 – 7:45 pm. We use different studies that address the different age-appropriate learning styles of our kids. We are committed to helping our students have a thorough knowledge of the Bible while encouraging them to connect is message to their everyday lives.
Kindergarten – 2nd Grade: Room 117
3rd – 5th Grade: The Summit
Kidzone (1st-2nd)
This Bible study is hands-on! Teachers use fun, real-world objects to teach Bible truths, and kids dive in and get involved, learning as they explore and engage. Room 117.
